Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) President

The current president of FIFA is Gianni Infantino who has been president since his election at the Extraordinary FIFA Congress on 26 February 2016. He was born in Brig, Switzerland and attended the University of Fribourg

Gianni is concentrated on enacting many reforms to FIFA. Firstly, in June 2015 when he put into effect governance reforms. Secondly, the Forward Programme which he introduced in December 26 which aims to increase the investment placed by FIFA toward football development.

Thirdly, in May of 2018, he conceptualised a Women’s Football Division and also changed FIFA’s history by forming FIFA’s first-ever Women’s Football Strategy. Lastly, in July of 2020 he revealed the FIFA Football for schools. It’s an ambitious strategy for the purpose of reaching over 700 million school kids across the globe, to promote both education and life skill lessons through football.

Ever since being named President, Gianni has placed focus on transforming FIFA into becoming an organisation of accountability, professionalism, modernisation, trustworthiness, and credibility.
