FC Barcelona and Dani Alves both reached an agreement for the player to return to the club. Alves previously played for FC Barcelona from 2008/09 to 2015/16.
Alves will join the club for the remainder of the current season. However, he will start training during this coming week and won’t be able to play until January 2022. The club will soon provide the full details. He’s transferring back from São Paulo FC.
Alves joined FC Barcelona in the summer of 2008 following five seasons in Sevilla FC. While he was at Sevilla FC, he made 391 official appearances and scored 23 goals.
Defence was always Alves’s main role, but he does join the occasional attack were he’s scored goals from outside the goalkeeper’s area.
While he was at FC Barcelona, he won 23 titles: 6 Ligas, 4 Copas del Rey, 3 Champions League, 3 Club World Cups, 3 Spanish Super Cups and 4 European Super Cups.
